Here at Olivia Macaron, we’re always looking for fun occasions to, not only whip up new flavors, but give back to society in whatever ways we can. For Earth Day this year, we’re lucky enough to do both!
Starting April 22, we’ll be debuting our special Earth Day Macaron, a quirky blue and green swirled shell with chocolate buttercream filling. It’s a tasty and fun way to celebrate the holiday, but also, an opportunity to raise awareness for One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization dedicated to reforestation throughout North America, Latin America, Africa and Asia.
In fact, in an effort to become greener and increase our corporate social responsibility, we have partnered with One Tree Planted to plant one tree for every box of Earth Day macarons sold. Our goal is to sell least 300 boxes between now and the end of the month, which means 300 new tree saplings planted by year’s end!
Our commitment to the environment doesn’t stop there. With four all-natural, preservative-free flavors (vanilla, salted caramel, chocolate, and espresso) the chefs in our test kitchen are working tirelessly to increase our line-up of natural offerings. (Matcha green tea, anyone?) What’s more, we source local ingredients, reduce waste, recycle, and save energy and water whenever possible. Even the small changes, such as using paper straws instead of plastic or converting to paperless payroll, have made a difference in our effort to reduce our carbon footprint.
So, in honor of Earth Day, April 22, please join us in being kind to our Planet, and stop by for your box of Responsible Macarons. Macaron boxes, gift boxes, and macaron towers are all available for in-store pick-up, local delivery or nationwide shipping. Bon Appetite!
