Every year, we get very excited about Washington, DC’s Cherry Blossom Festival, and we celebrate it the best way we know how! Like other neighborhood bakeries, we craft delicious cherry blossom themed treats – French macarons, to be exact. Filled with a sweet mixture of cherry fruit flavor and white chocolate ganache, our Cherry Blossom Macarons help make the yearly festival into a real springtime party! Every year, Washington City Paper’s readers pick their favorite local shops, restaurants, and all around DC things – and this, year, they chose us! We’re very excited to be voted Washington, DC’s Best French Macaron! Although our macarons can be shipped nationwide, our home is in Georgetown, DC, and we’re honored that our neighbors have recognized our macarons as some of the best they’ve tried! And now, the hard work starts: we’ll keep perfecting the art of the French macaron so that you can enjoy them for years to come!

 

Recently, Sara Swabb – a wonderful Washingtonian, mama, and blogger extraordinaire – visited our macaron shop in DC’s Georgetown neighborhood for some delicious dessert! Is it really fall without a whole lot of pumpkin spice treats? During autumn, everyone’s favorite seasonal dessert flavor was popping up all over the District, including in our own Georgetown and Tysons Corner macaron shops! Our version of the fall fave includes a rich pumpkin spice buttercream between two bright orange meringue shells – bringing together a traditional French pastry and a classic American flavor. And after reading this list, we’re sure we’re in great company!
